Our God and Father,
Unto you, O Lord, do we lift up our souls. (Psalm 25:1) Your name endures forever, and your renown goes through all ages. (Psalm 135:13)
You are the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. (1 Timothy 6:15-16)
Yet your eyes are in every place keeping watch on the evil and the good. (Prov. 5:3) You search the heart and test the mind. (Jeremiah 17:10) You know when we sit down and when we rise up; you discern our thoughts from afar. You search out our path and our lying down and are acquainted with all our ways. Even before a word is on our tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. (Psalm 139:1-4)
O Father, we are the clay, and you are the potter; we are the work of your hand. (Isaiah 64:8) You knit us together with bones and skin and have granted us life and steadfast love. (Job 10:11-12) And if you take away our breath, we die and return to the dust out of which we were taken. (Psalm 104:29)
Father, our times are in your hand. (Psalm 31:15) We humble ourselves before your awesome power. We sing of your wondrous love, a love that sent your only Son to the cross for sinners like us.
May the words of our mouth and the meditations of our heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, our Rock, and our Redeemer. (Psalm 19:14)
We worship you Father, through Christ the Son who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit. One God. World without end. And Amen.
