Ezra and Nehemiah are all about reformation. God calls his people out of their exile and back to Jerusalem. They rebuild the altar and temple of the Lord (Ezra) and continue to rebuild the walls of the city (Nehemiah). In this letter the apostle Paul challenges those who were distorting the doctrine of justification by grace alone. Judaizers, as we have come to know these false teachers, were teaching that the work of circumcision must be added to the finished work of Christ for salvation. Paul issues the strongest warning he ever gives to these teachers and to …

Sunday we completed week 5 of our series “Who is Jesus?” We’ve been looking at texts from the first half of John’s gospel. It’s called the Book of Signs because John has carefully selected vignettes from the ministry of Christ which highlight the essence and nature of his Messiahship.
