Prayer of Adoration – 8/17/2025

Father,

Your name is great and greatly to be praise for you have assembled your church from all four points of the compass. From Belmont to Rock Hill, York to Charlotte, we are gathered in your presence, clothed in the righteousness of Jesus Christ, presenting ourselves to you for your glory and praise.

You are our King, O God (Ps. 44:4) and while other rulers govern our earthly affairs, your name alone we bring to remembrance. (Is. 26:13) For you alone, do we set aside one day in seven to assemble and worship, for you have bought us with a price, and therefore we are not our own (1 Cor. 6:19-20)

  • You are the eternal God, who was and is and is to come.
  • You know all things: everything that is and everything that could be.
  • Your power cannot be challenged and by your sovereign might, you uphold all things.
  • You are holy, holy, holy: totally and completely pure.
  • All your words are faithful and true.

We acknowledge our dependence upon you, our duty to worship and obey you. We draw near to you now in prayer and express that we are utterly unworthy of this privilege.

So we stand, in your presence, and take our refuge in you. (Ps. 31:1) Some trust in chariots, some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. (Ps. 20:7)

Fill the praises of your people today. Receive the praises of your people even now.

We worship you Father, through Christ the Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit. One God. World without end.

In Jesus name we pray, AMEN.
