FROM EXILE TO ETERNITY: Daniel Bible Study

Daniel is a book of polarities: simple enough for a Sunday school story, complex enough to occupy a lifetime of study. It is written in two languages, moves through two genres, and traces the rise and fall of empires while attending to four young exiles who would not give their names away. This series walks the whole book—from the siege of Jerusalem to the vision of the Son of Man—so that we might see what the book itself insists: the Most High rules the kingdom of men, humbles those who walk in pride, and will give everlasting dominion to Christ and to the saints who belong to Him.

From Exile to Eternity is a weekly class for Lake Wylie Baptist Church. Each lesson follows the same path: the Text, the Truth, and the Transformation. Use the links below to listen to the lectures, read the notes, and work the application grid. Begin with the introduction if you are joining midstream. Then move week by week through Daniel’s court narratives and visions, asking the same question the book asks of every generation of God’s people: Will we trust the God who sent His people into exile to bring them, and the nations, to an unshakable kingdom?
