Prayers for the Church
Lord God,
May your Spirit teach us all things and bring to mind all that you have said to us today (John 14:26) and may the word of Christ dwell richly in us. (Col. 3:16)
Do this so that we might walk in a manner worthy of you, fully pleasing to you, and bearing fruit in every good work. (Col. 1:9010)
Prayers for Members
Father, we are so thankful for ___ and ___ ___. We love their children, ___, ___, ___, and ___. May your grace and peace be upon their home. Supply all their needs and may they continue to be an example of Christ in their neighborhood.
And we are so glad that you have brought ___ and ___ ___ and their son ___ into our church family. Thank you for their love of Christ, his Word, and their ministry to the saints here. May they be rooted into Christ, and filled with love for one another.
Prayers for the Lost
Lord God, we pray for the nation of Australia, that your church would increase, that spiritual renewal would sweep across that nation. We’ve seen that nation rapidly secularize, so we ask that you would stretch forth your arm which is mighty to save.
And we pray for Austria. Lord God centuries ago, you used men like Martin Luther and Ulrich Zwingli to revive your church in Germany and Austria. Father, do it again in our day, in our time. We pray that the gospel would redeem and transform.
Prayers for those in Authority
Father, for our own nation we ask you: make those who rule over us just. May they rule in the fear of God (2 Sam. 23:3) May our own judges remember that they are not judging for us, but for you. May the fear of your final judgment be upon them. (2 Chron. 19:6-7)
Enable our magistrates to defend the weak and the fatherless, to defend the rights of the powerless, and to deliver our citizens from the hand of the wicked. (Psalm 82:3, 4)
Prayers for Churches & Missionaries
Father, we pray for Piedra Angular Church in Monterrey, Mexico, and their pastor Josue Lara. As he establishes a pastor training school, supply his needs, give his family health, and may he preach and shepherd the church with joy.
Offering
Lord God, you cover the heavens with clouds, and prepare rain for the earth, you make the grass grow and you provide grain.
Our hearts are thankful for all you have done for us. And so we come now with our own offerings as token of our love.
