We’ve never had more tools to express ourselves, yet fewer deep, lasting connections. Why? Because expressive individualism—the cultural script that says your inner self is the ultimate authority—undermines the very commitments that make love possible.
That’s why I’m excited to share a recent sermon series from Lake Wylie Baptist Church: Selfless Love. Drawing from the book of Proverbs, we explored God’s wisdom for relationships in an age that idolizes the self. Proverbs isn’t just ancient advice—it’s divine insight for marriages, families, and friendships that actually endure.
